TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (5-18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages. Meanwhile, independently run TEDx events help share ideas in communities around the world.

TED is a global community, welcoming people from every discipline and culture who seek a deeper understanding of the world. We believe passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and, ultimately, the world. On TED.com, we’re building a clearinghouse of free knowledge from the world’s most inspired thinkers — and a community of curious souls to engage with ideas and each other, both online and at TED and TEDx events around the world, all year long.

The TEDx Program is designed to help communities, organizations and individuals to spark conversation and connection through local TED-like experiences. At TEDx events, a screening of TED Talks videos — or a combination of live presenters and TED Talks videos — sparks deep conversation and connections at the local level. TEDx events are planned and coordinated independently, under a free license granted by TED.

TEDxAlmansorPark will be taking place on March 30, 2019. The venue is the Westerbeck Recital Hall at the Pasadena City College Center for the Arts, 1570 E Colorado Blvd. Pasadena, CA 91106. Visit our venue page for a map and other useful information.

TEDxAlmansorPark volunteers will be people who are as passionate as we are about ideas worth spreading. Volunteers are essential to any community based event. Volunteer opportunities for the day of the event will be announced in the coming months. Please fill out the Volunteer Application form, and we will review your details. Future events may require your specific skillset and enthusiasm, so don’t be disappointed if you are not selected for this event. There are many more planned!

Yes. Ticket prices and details are available in the ticketing section on our website home page and can be purchased online here >

While tickets are limited and may sell out quickly, when they do sell out, there will be a waiting list where you can add your name and email. If further tickets become available for sale, you will get notified and have an opportunity to buy them.

Some tickets may sell out sooner than others. If you want a particular type of ticket, but it is sold out, please contact Bill at tedxalmansorpark@gmail.com to see if there are possible extra tickets.

This is an online ticketed event only. NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR.

The conference is a full day program from 9 am to 5:30 pm.
